Pedro presented his first radio show over 40 years ago, his love for black music came from growing up in North-West London surrounded by the sounds of soul, reggae, soca and even Bollywood music which led to Pedro working with Apache Indian and Maxi Priest later on! Pedro’s primary and senior schools were a haven for musical talent with such artist as Phil Fearon (Galaxy) and David Joseph (Hi Tension) to name a few attending the same schools as Pedro.
During the early 90’s Pedro joined Spectrum Radio, the first international radio station for London, broadcasting to all of London, his overnight quiz and music shows became an instance success, he later presented an award-winning breakfast show which led him onto to presenting on Carlton TV across the Midlands and London for over 6 years.
His passion of music also meant he ran his own record label, having dance hits in Germany and Italy in the early 90s, he even recorded a spoof version of a well known hit which became a club hit in the UK, the band were simply called Los Idiots, enough said ! Lol
In the last 20 years, Pedro has built up his PR business, his company has represented many artists including Apache Indian, Craig David, Jay Sean, Lady Gaga, Rishi Rich, Ravi & Anouska Shankar, Shania Twain and many global artists from various corners of the world.
His love of Soul music took him back into radio after bumping into the founder (George Power) of Crackers Radio and the man who put Crackers the 70s club on the map. George invited Pedro to visit the station, on his visit, he ended up on air and the rest is history.
Since George’s passing, Pedro and the DJ’s at the station have kept the passion that George showed for music alive. May it continue for many years to come!
